Dr. Sitchin returns with the final volume of the Earth Chronicles, The End of Days, Armageddon and the Prophecies of the Return. This is the seventh book(there are four companion books, making for a total of eleven in the series) in his brilliant, alternative take on ancient history and the origins of man. Sitchin's theory is that a 12th planet exists in our solar system with a wide orbit that only passes by the sun every 3600 years. It is from this planet, called Nibiru, that ancient astronaughts, extraterrestrial beings, arrived 400,000 years ago and planted mankind's seed. These beings and the Nephilm of the Bible and the Gods of mythology. Sounds absurd, ofcourse. However, in the eleven books Sitchin shows amazing scholarship. He is a genius with languages, he can read all stone tablets as well as modern languages, he never needs a translation. Sitchin's books are researched with incredible depth, they show that modern archaeology may have reached many wrong conclusions.

In The End of Days, Sitchin deals with Armageddon, Biblical and Sumerian prophecy and tells his theory when the ancients and the 12th planet will return. I urge anyone interested in alternative history to read these facinating books. It has been interesting to me that despite having sold millions of copies of this series, Dr. Sitchin's work is never mentioned in the media or on television, it would make for facinating shows for example on the History channel.
