William Diehl has been a praised suspense writer for many years. He is the author of many bestselling novels including Thai Horse, Chameleon, Primal Fear, and Sharkey's Machine, the last two were made into feature films. Eureka is his first book in four years. This book features LA police officer, Zeke Bannon. The book starts with Bannon investigating the death of a woman found electrocuted in her bathtub. It has a noir feel to it that will appeal to many readers. Mr. Diehl has always been able to combine non-stop action and fine plotting with excellent characters. Eureka, his new novel, is both a fine police procedural as well as a historical mystery that jumps between 1900 to 1945. It is also a fine political thriller. Highly recommended.
