Michael Connelly returns with The Overlook, the newest in the famed series featuring LA Detective Harry Bosch. This book became well known when it was serialized in the New York Times Magazine. The hardcover is the full and expanded version of the book. A scientist is kidnapped and later murdered and nuclear material is missing from his work site. Harry is forced to deal with the FBI and Homeland Security as officials race to capture the terorists and contain the emergency.

As usual, Connelly throws in twists and turns as Harry begins his investigation. As usual, his excellent, detailed, hard boiled narrative enables the reader to be swept along from cover to cover. The Overlook is slightly smaller that Connelly's other novels, yet the plotting is really excellent. Another must read.
