Straw Man by Martin J Smith
|
Teresa Harnett was attacked in her home, and left for dead. The man put away
for the crime is getting released because DNA evidence has induced a new trial.
During the original trial she testified and help seal the case. But now she
is doubting her memory.
She seeks help from a psychologist, Jim Christensen. The only thing is, he was
helping the defense, and is in fact living with the defense attorney. As her
true memories of the past come to light, more evidence just makes the whole
case more confusing. And the suspense builds thought the book weaving around
corners and turns like a stock car.
A great read and worthy of the Edgar nomination it received.
