Matt Hilton has crafted a fine 1st crime novel that is part
adventure thriller and part crime novel. Joe Hunter, ex British
special forces, is asked by his sister-in-law to find his wayward
brother who has left his wife and kids and is on the run in the US.
Hunter, with the help of some former associates and friends, begins
his trek only to find out his brother is also wanted by the FBI for
being a serial killer. The real serial killer is actually hunting the
brother and he is a sick piece of work.
Hilton follows the wonderful hard boiled trend which features
many new British crime authors writing tough, gritty, action filled
novels. Dead Men's Dust rocks from page one(it has elements of a road
novel), fine fast paced action along with excellent characters and a
truly scary maniac killer. Fans of Eisler, Ghelfi and Child will love
this book.
