When Will There Be Good News?

You'll have to read Kate Atkinson's When Will There Be Good News to
find the answer to her version of the question.
You'll likely want to read it even if you know the answer. The strong portrayals
of the main characters provide another reason, beyond knowing, to pick up this
novel. Reggie Chase, looks twelve but is sixteen years old. She's the mother's
helper to Dr. Joanna Hunter. Jackson Brodie, an ex policeman, now PI, will enter
the picture and so will Louise Monroe, Detective Chief Inspector. The novel's
only weakness, is coincidence but once the plot gets rolling it's easy to forgive
and forget. On top of the mystery this is a novel about life and death and family
and love. There are some nice twists along the way to keep the reader surprised.
The back blurb says this is the third novel staring Jackson Brodie but read
it for Reggie Chase, a gem of a young adult. When Will There Be Good
News? In September when this book is released and you can find yourself
a very good read.
