I Can See You

Readers Familiar with Evie Wilson from Karen Rose's earlier novels Don't Tell
and Nothing To Fear will be happy to see her return in the latest romantic thriller,
I Can See You. Karen Rose's novels, like those of S.J Rozan,
Ed Mcbain, Stuart Kaminsky and others, use a rotating cast of characters. In
some stories they feature prominently in others they're present but in the background.
If you can make it work as well as Ms. Rose does, you have the potential to
write for quite a long time. Interplay between reoccurring characters always
allows for plot potential and 'growth' in all the players. In I Can
See You, Evie Wilson gets a prominent role. Once a victim, now a graduate
student and online expert in internet communities she turns to Homicide Detective
Noah Webster, who comes to believe her when she reports that the violent events
and suicides affecting her online test subjects could be murders. A budding
romance, some realistic violence and police work make I Can See You
something of a cross over novel. If you can write for two markets instead of
one, you double your fan base. I imagine with the readers Karen Rose already
has, she's quadrupled hers.
